About the Role
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced property finance professional to lead origination, relationship management, and market development across the region.
As Business Development Lead – North England, you will be responsible for driving new business growth, managing key relationships, and leading a team of Relationship Managers and Assistant Relationship Managers.
You’ll combine strategic leadership with hands-on commercial delivery, ensuring growth is achieved in line with credit, operational, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a regional team of Relationship Managers and Assistants.
Drive origination and relationship development to grow the loan book across the North.
Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, brokers, and intermediaries.
Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company goals.
Ensure robust credit discipline and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Represent the business across the Northern property finance market.
Collaborate with other senior leaders to deliver group-wide growth initiatives.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in property development finance, specialist lending, or commercial real estate funding.
Strong market knowledge and established network across the Northern UK property sector.
Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Commercially astute, strategically minded, and risk-aware.
Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
